Attaching emails to another email

In order to forward emails as attachments to an email via the CRM, you can drag and drop them as attachments to another email. The system then automatically generates an EML document that has the type "email", is "released" and compressed. The document has no reference to the original email.

EML files are text files additionally containing the header information or attachments and hyperlinks of emails. They are stored in a general format and can be processed, e.g., by Microsoft Outlook and numerous other email programs.

Saving emails via the snapshot function as EML

The Snapshot function of various forms saves emails in the EML format, too.

Info

Admin: Using the variable PSA_SAV_REL_EMA_EML, this feature can be deactivated. The attachments are still stored in the document folder, however, they are also included directly in the EML file and thereby associated content-wise.

Importing emails in EML format

Analogous to importing MSG files with drag-and-drop, EML-files (e.g., Notes) can be imported as well. This also applies to EML files originating from other email programs.
