Selection dialogs for relations

For data fields and record relations, functions are available that open selection dialogs. These system-wide and omnipresent assistants enable you to complete master data records quickly and to create relations without leaving the master object. The selection dialogs are divided into single selection (a single entry is required for a single field) and multiple selection dialogs (several records from a list can be selected). Thus, existing records can be selected, and at the same time, new records can also be created from this dialog. This can be done entirely within the selection dialog, which has the advantage that you can first create all relations and then edit the new records afterwards.

These selection dialogs can be accessed in a form through a function (button), in fields as a single selection, or in lists (button in the tab like "Select contact" or "Select documents") as a multiple selection.

Selection lists with master and transaction data, e.g., for selecting external contacts, projects, project folders, or messages, are automatically sorted alphabetically.

Selection lists for internal contacts are pre-filtered to show active objects.
