The “View” menu

Via the View menu, you can show or hide various sidebars and customize the menubars.

You can use the View submenu to personalize the top menus. The menu structure can be configured on a per-user basis here. The submenus can be customized as well. If necessary, you can restore the standard with a single click.

Via the View menu, you can turn on further Sidebars if needed.

To show or hide sidebars, you will also find a clickable transparent tab at the position of the desktop sidebar and the toolbar.

Filters

Here you can see the most important filters and can immediately make your desired selection. The nodes of the filter tree correspond to the overview lists of the respective objects. Exactly those filters are displayed that are available in these overview lists. The respective overview list with the selected filter can be opened via a hyperlink to the filter in the tree. Changes in the filter dialog by creating and deleting affect the filter tree. It can be updated with F5 or Refresh in the context menu.

Favorites

Furthermore, you can create your own favorites folder (right mouse click on Favorites) and collect records easily via drag and drop from the CRM. All favorites are hyperlinks that open the respective object immediately. As a default, JustRelate CRM also integrates regularly needed applications in this group so that they can be launched directly from within the CRM.

Note:  If you directly click a favorites folder, similar objects are grouped together in a master form, and the first record is displayed. Ideally, you should always first click on the small plus sign in front of the favorites folder to expand it. Then click on the subfolder or a record in the favorites tree.

External documents and URLs

In addition, you can analogously place documents and other files from local directories in the favorites folder as combined documents using drag and drop.

External applications

JustRelate CRM integrates frequently required applications in this group by default, enabling you to run them directly from the CRM.

Last used

Access to the history of all new, edited and linked objects that have been logged. Hyperlink nodes immediately display the corresponding object in the form.

Watchlist / Filters / Drill-Down

Watchlists are filters that automatically monitor the system or update it. The updating process includes all filters that are defined as favorites in Desktop. Using a command (right mouse button, there Add filter/drill-down), you can add filters from the currently displayed form as well as drill-down paths to the favorites under Desktop. Any change to the number of records concerning the watchlist is recognized immediately and causes the number displayed in the Watchlist to be updated.

Info

Admin: The interval at which the favorites are updated, can be set via the variable PSA_SET_RFR_FVR_TIM_ITV. The interval is in minutes. The value 0 causes the favorites not to be refreshed.

The watchlists and drill-downs behave like the hyperlinks known from the CRM. The corresponding form or list can be opened via a mouse click, and the result of the default that has been defined for the Watchlist is displayed.

Attention

Attention: For performance reasons, drill-down paths (just like complex filters) should be added sparingly to the desktop because they are automatically updated when the desktop opens.

Extended watch definition

In addition to filters and drill downs, watchlists can also be based on revenue comparisons from the Trend Center.

These watchlists can be used as favorites in the desktop sidebar and also in the "Watchlists" cockpit element.

Asynchronous calculation of watchlists

The watchlists based on filters, drill-downs, and revenue comparisons are executed asynchronously. While the value is being calculated, "..." appears in brackets. The timer replaces this entry in the background as soon as the value is available.

Browser

The browser bar shows group and region structures along with business sectors (product line) and industries.

Message bar

In the lower part of the form, JustRelate CRM shows system messages in a standard message bar. The message bar is hidden by default. If it is hidden, you will receive a pop-up notification that will automatically disappear after a short time. To see the notification permanently, activate the notification bar (Personalize or View/Sidebars menu).

Messages specific to a form are displayed only for the current form. The message bar is always associated with the active mask. After switching to another mask, the content of the message bar changes.

Messages are given a time stamp when they are output, so the message history is traceable when you switch to a different mask and see the messages there.

For multi-line messages, only the first line is displayed in the message bar. If required, the entire text can be displayed. Inside the message bar, you can use the context functions available after clicking the right mouse button.

Hiding bars dynamically

Docked bars can be hidden dynamically (via the small pin on the bars) and in this case be docked again via the "hamburger menu". Additionally, you can use the transparent flap on the bars to show or hide them.
