Saving documents from Office to the CRM

By saving local documents directly from Office applications, local resources can be conveniently integrated into JustRelate CRM.

In the toolbar of the four Office applications, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project, there is an additional CRM button, Save. Using this function creates a new document in the CRM, and the local office file is stored in the CRM database. Saving again updates the document.

  1. Create a document in an office application.
  2. In the tool bar of the program, click the CRM Save button.
  3. Proceed as described in section Creating a document, startĀing at point 4.
  4. Save the record!
Attention

Attention: When specifying the Validity, note that only valid documents ("date to ..." must be greater than or equal to the current date) are visible in the selection dialogs in the relation objects. Only values from 1/1/1970 to 12/31/2069 are possible.

Checking the document size on import

If a document is imported or checked in, the system can check the document size before checking it in to the CRM. If the size exceeds an adjustable value, a message can be presented to the user, and the checkĀing in will be prevented. The check is performed when importing across all channels (file selection, drag and drop, Groupware import etc.).

Info

Admin: Admin or customizing notes:

The variable PSA_DOC_MAX_SIZ controls the behavior. It can also be set per user or group. The values recognized are MOD:= ASK|REJ|REJ_MSG; SIZ:=<integere>; UNI:= KB|MB|GB. The maximum size can be defined in the units (UNI) KB, MB, GB.

Via the mode (MOD), you can specify whether the system asks for confirmation, rejects with a message, or rejects silently.

If the server-sided Groupware synchronization rejects a document because of its size, the modes ASK and REJ_MSG cause an internal message stating the rejection to be sent to the user.
