Object-related full text search – Quickfinder

Full-text search is integrated as an EUREKA search directly into the Quickfinder. Thus, it is an alternative to the field-related search and can improve the performance when searching in large amounts of data.

You can find the EUREKA search option always at the first position in the Quickfinder menu, and in the search field of selection dialogs. A search is always executed "with all words".

  • The full-text search is combinable with query conditions in individual fields. The search result can thus be restricted as needed.
  • The Count function is deactivated if a full text query condition is provided.
  • Clearing the query conditions also deletes the full text query condition.

The object-related EUREKA search is available in the standard:

  • in different masks (among others, in the master detail masks of all main objects),
  • in all overview lists it is the default search method, because often not all fields are displayed there,
  • in the FAQ/Error code masks via the already available search header.
  • The EUREKA search is offered as default in various selection dialogs. Exceptions are the contact selection dialog (default field: "Name") and the document selection dialog (default field: "Subject").

Admin: An administrator can control this behavior by means of an INI tag.

Note: Object-related full text search is neither available in sublists of master detail masks nor in administration masks.
