Depending on the type of a marketing action, you can use different descriptions for contacts in these actions. Whether they are internal (agents), organizational, or other contacts or attendees depends on the definition of the marketing action, however, they are always assignments from the contact management. The Attendees tab (formerly "External Contacts") contains a list of all attendees of a marketing action. This means that, in addition to external contacts, internal contacts can also be added, e.g. for internal training courses.
Assigning contacts and attendees
§ GDPR: When registering persons, you must observe the GDPR and privacy! See GDPR-compliant registration of persons.
Contacts can be assigned in several ways. The corresponding functions are available in the respective lists for this purpose.
Contact segmentation
Get from filter
For the import of attendees, the selection dialog can be used with search filters. The filter result is immediately passed to the attendees list. The filters in the selection dialog are the standard filters of the contact overview.
The function "Get from filter" is executed in the background as soon as the number of participants exceeds a preset value. This value can be set in the variable PSA_FLT_IMP_CON_BCK_THR (default: 100).
Get from ad-hoc list
This lets you select an ad-hoc list and transfers all contacts contained in it to the participant list. See also Ad hoc lists.
Importing contacts from CSV and Excel files
The integrated contact import tool allows you to easily import contact data (company, person) from Excel tables and CSV files. Marketing employees in particular benefit from this. They can effectively import Excel contact lists with any structure, e.g., those that are provided by address services (Hoppenstedt, Schober, …) or by the fair team.

Organizational contacts
Such contacts can be captured separately in order to be able to effectively assign responsibilities when organizing a marketing campaign. Such assignments can be made using the standard selection method, “Select contacts”.
Qualifying companies
The Show companies in form function you can access from the function bar in the subdialog opens the main company for the selected person or the company in the master form. In this way, the associated companies of several marked attendees can be updated more quickly (e.g. status or group change) after qualifying the attendees.
Selecting attendees by their status
A filter assistant (the filter symbol) on the attendee list lets you select attendees flexibly by their status in the various phases of a marketing campaign. The assistant allows you to select the desired attendee status and displays the number of results in real time. After clicking OK, the result is loaded into the attendee list, and the search condition is displayed next to the filter symbol.
This allows you to assess the attendee situation better and to easily select attendees for follow-up actions.
Note: The Attendee Status field in the attendee list is locked for the Quickfinder search.
