The Status of an operation can be used to check which processing phase it is in. How the statuses in a marketing action are used depends on the workflow and qualification of the marketing action.
Status of marketing actions
Note: You should maintain the Status info field with every status change, so that reasons for or additions to the status change are taken down.
You can also specify the weighting of a marketing action via its status. Marketing actions that do not require any further particular attention on account of their status, are highlighted in grey. Such states can be: Telemarketing Prematurely canceled. Final statuses such as Completed and similar ones are emphasized in grass green color.
Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
Planned | The marketing action is planned, but no marketing operations are in effect yet. |
In progress | The marketing action is in progress and must be checked. |
Prematurely aborted | The marketing action was terminated prematurely, and the reasons must be documented. |
In review | The marketing action is closed and being reviewed. The reasons must be documented. |
Closed | The marketing action is closed and does not need to be checked any longer. |
Process visualization of the main status
For cases, a progress bar can be shown together with the main status in the top area. This way, you can immediately see in which main status the case is. As a default, the progress bar is displayed at the business opportunity, quote, order, and all marketing operations.
