Attention: Check the status of activities in the activity management to avoid escalation conflicts.
Status of marketing activities
Depending on the status of an activity, the status of the respective marketing action is determined.
- Open a marketing action and switch to the Activities tab.
- Select a view mode for the list (Type, Status).
- Check whether the task is already completed.
- If you want to change the status of an activity, click on an activity record (in the field Subject) that corresponds to a task. The respective form opens.
- After editing or changing the activity status, switch to the marketing action form and update the record if necessary (standard command Load).
- You will then see a symbol with a check mark in the Status field of the Activities tab.
Note: This procedure also works vice versa. When you click the symbol in the Status field of an activity of the “task” type, the status in the activity management is set to done or not started.

Assigning follow-up records
You can assign follow-up records to a marketing action, e.g. a sales record (business opportunity, quotes) to which the marketing action has led, or other projects or cases that must be processed as a complex. Follow-up records are only associated with this specific record as a source, no matter whether the superordinate record itself has a source or not. They do not appear as a follow up to the source of their superordinate record (no explosion).
In the Trace back tab (under Additional data) one can assign records to the marketing action, or create new ones in the selection dialog. In the corresponding assigned record itself, you can find a source record you can open using the hyperlink, i.e., without a complicated search.
- Open a record.
- Switch to the Trace back tab.
- If you click on the Select projects button, the selection dialog opens.
- Create relations with selected records.
If you delete a source record later, only the assignment to transferred source and follow-up records is cleared. Immediate follow-up records lose their superordinate levels, but not their own subordinate structures.
Note: In the "Trace back" tab of sales cases, marketing actions and service cases, you can assign a source case independently of the predecessor directly by the creator of the transferred case.
