Basic process definition procedure

Creating a new process (class) usually requires customizing. For contact groups (Lead, Customer etc.) and for service cases (type), however, you can create processes as an administrator, but you can also adapt existing processes to your own requirements.

  • Select a process (class) whose operation status and standard activities should be adapted.
  • Create or adapt standard activities as well as standard documents for the existing process statuses.
  • Create the process statuses or adapt them.
  • Assign standard activities to the process statuses.
  • Relate process statuses to each other with an original status in order to map a sequence in the sales process.

Deactivating unused processes

To adapt your own processes better, you can deactivate unneeded process statuses in the CRM process definition using the "Active" flag that is present in the process status list and in the form. Inactive processes are then are hidden automatically in the process selection dialog (e.g. at a contact group or a case type).
