Process subtypes

Subtypes can be used in the Type field of the form for sales cases and project folders as well as in marketing actions and service cases.

Attention

Note: The process definition of subtypes for the service differs from the one for marketing, sales and the project folder.

Service

For service subtypes, a process for the message, aan offer and a request type must be defined. The subtypes are managed as individual processes.

Attention

Attention: Only a JustRelate CRM customizer can create processes for projects and cases.

Marketing, sales, project folder

A process and additional subtypes for representing process types must be defined. In the Project subtypes list (e.g. Administration/Sales/Project subtypes), the subtypes are linked to the processes (same procedure as with .../Marketing/...).

Note: You can also assign subtypes to an individual process status. This causes the status to be only available in processes of this subtype.

Creating subtypes

You can create subtypes in the list from the Administration/Sales/Project subtypes menu.

  1. Create a new record in the list (see also the tip below).
  2. Enter the Name and, above all, a unique Identifier and a Global ID.
  3. Choose the Process at which the subtype should be used.
  4. In the Sequence field, specify at which position the entry should show up in the selection menu of the respective form.
  5. Save the record!

After administrative changes of this kind, please always clear the server cache!

Tip: Mark an entry of the process where the new subtype should appear, and copy this entry. Change the Name and the entries in the Identifier, Global ID and Sequence fields. After saving, the new subtype is available in the corresponding form.
