Creating and editing a process status

Note: To better adapt your own processes, you can deactivate unneeded process statuses in the CRM process definition using the "Active" flag that is present in the process status list and in the form. Inactive statuses are automatically hidden in the status selection dialog and in status selectors.

You can extend the structure of an existing process by introducing a new process status.

  1. Open the Administration / Process definition menu and select the process concerned.
  2. Click Status (new) in the function bar. Give it a name (in multiple languages) for the users, and enter a Position number. It should be a four-digit number, so that it can be distinguished from the additional statuses delivered with JustRelate CRM.
  3. Enter a unique Identifier. It should consist of the class name, the three-character abbrevi­ation of the process (already preset) and a freely chosen three-character abbreviation of the pro­cess status. All identifiers must begin with the class name of the sales process.
  4. Enter the identifier of a selected status as a Source status if required. The identifier must be placed in commas. Several entries are possible.
  5. Enter the Subtype of a selected status if required, so that this status is only available for processes of this subtype.
  6. Specify in the Maturity field which statuses should set the process to open or closed. OPN = open, DON = closed (red).
  7. Enter a proportional value in the Done field, that marks the success probability of the sales pro­cess via the process status.
  8. Check in the Access tab whether the status concerned should change the access, and whether it should effect, in combination with the setting in the Open field, that the record is highlighted in color.

Maintaining the status help

  1. In the Help tab, please specify the Description (in multiple languages).
  2. Save all changes!
  3. In the Help Generate tab, you can generate the status help from the status name and description. See also: Maintaining the status help

Note: You can easily edit an existing process status by selecting it in the tree to the left, and then modifying the attributes in the tab to the right.

The ID of a process status that has already been created cannot be changed, regardless of whether it has already been used or not. You can only rename it by deleting and cre­ating it again. In this way, no objects with a nonexistent process status can occur.
