Attention: Along with the discontinuation of the Windows client, resource planning utilizing the interactive planning board is only available if an environment including the Windows client in version 7.6 under Windows 10 has been provided for it.
The planning scenario envisages that the planner, after logging in to the Windows client, works with an order list or appointment list from which she or he opens the planning board globally or selectively. The prerequisites for this can be met through customizing.
Service resource planning
Service resource planning supports planning service actions and missions using the Planning board for interactive appointment and resources planning. It can be opened from the service menu or directly via a service order.
This enables both advance planning over a specific period and ad hoc planning in the service order. Via an interface, data is exchanged between the service order and resource planning. This way, the appointment desired by the customer is considered, e.g., when an appointment is created, or the appointment dates and assigned resources are written back to the order after release.
The service module is prepared for scenarios with multi-stage mission planning. It comprises the following process steps:
- Rough planning by dispatchers,
- detailed planning by service staffs in the Entry portal or using the resource planning board.
Admin: The administrator can control the visibility of an activity in the Entry portal and the capturing of an activity using synchronization functions or jobs ("Activities/Release level" administration table). This way, not only finally released appointments, but also appointments with release levels preceding the release (e.g., the resources assigned) can be announced to a service technician, which she or he can fine-schedule for himself.
