Product text module templates

When neutral products are added to the product catalog or case-specific products in a sales case, a standard template for generating text modules is automatically provided for every record. It contains all attributes or variables from the product database.

For a neutral article, the standard template can be replaced with a different template, if other text module templates are present in the database (button Template). You can also delete the relation between a product and a text module template in the Templates field.

A standard text module template which is then available in all alternative specifications of the product class is created when product-/service classes are created in the product catalog.

These text module templates can be edited on a per-article basis and are then only usable for the specific article. All article-specific text module templates are stored in the template management and can be directly edited there.

Article-specific templates can be copied in several languages and used according to the commu­nication language. You can, for example, distinguish between "customer language" and "transaction language" in a quote.

The text module templates can be found in articles in the Additional data subform. From there, they can be edited on a per-article basis, copied in several languages and opened in the template management.

To create a product-specific copy of the neutral standard template in the already available language versions of this neutral standard template, please answer the corresponding question with YES. Otherwise, only the marked language version is copied, and all other language versions disappear from the template assignment.

Creates a copy of the text module template, where another language must be selected. This new text module template must be edited and translated accordingly in the template management.

Neutral text module templates can be created in the CRM template management. If text module templates are created without variables, it is important that no report tools are specified for the template (Tool field in the template form, DOCX → plain document).
