Creating product lines

Here you can group top articles into product lines according to sales-relevant aspects.

  1. Select the Administration / Products / Services / Product lines menu.
  2. Search for specific records.
  3. Group top articles into existing product lines according to sales-relevant aspects.
  4. Or select the Insert standard command to create new product lines.
  5. Switch to the Products / Services index card and assign positions with a neutral structure.
  6. Click on the Number field and enter an existing product number.
  7. Or click the Select product / Services button and create relations to selected records.
  8. In the Structure tab, you can enter subordinate product lines.
  9. You can assign informative documents and files to the product line in the Documents tab.
  10. If products of the product line are used in a case, the Usage tab shows the case and also the customers.
  11. Save the record!

You can edit general item data, costs and prices of the items of a product line as well as text modules in the tree view of the product relationship.

Attention

Attention: Each product line can belong to only one parent product line, and products can only be in a single product line. Please consider this when managing product lines in the administration.

When dragging and dropping a product from a product line or a subordinate product line to a different product line, the product is always moved and not copied, even though the drag-and-drop func­tionality at first indicates that it is copied. After refreshing the mask, it becomes clear that the product was moved.
