Global configuration by the administrator

When using the Groupware Connector to automatically synchronize appointments, we recommend that only in exceptional cases you use the client-side appointment synchronization functions (i.e., the "Export" function of the CRM appointment form, or "Import" in the CRM menu in Outlook and Lotus Notes). This reduces the number of conflicts.

Scenario (server-side and client-side synchronization)

If the system recognizes that a user has initiated client-side synchronization (in the CRM or in the Groupware), and the Groupware connector has been configured for the user, server-side synchronization is automatically performed. This takes place via a direct Groupware server connection. Simultaneously, the service automatically synchronizes all other appointments based on the timeframe.

Attention

Attention: Internal contacts need to be captured centrally and only in the CRM and will not be imported or updated from the Groupware. It is necessary that all internal staff members who work with JustRelate CRM and with the Groupware, are registered in the CRM as internal contacts.

Note: Exchange 2003 ff will not be pursued further as Microsoft has discontinued support. Current and executable in the CRM is Exchange from version 2010.

Ensure distinct user account names

MS Exchange only: When creating JustRelate CRM accounts, make sure that login names are distinct and unambiguous. MS Exchange, for example, resolves login names via AD (ActiveDirectory), which can lead to ambiguity and then fail as, for example, in the following case:

  • Alex Mustermann, login name "Mustermann"
  • Florian Mustermann, login name "FMustermann"

Attempting to log in as "Mustermann" will fail because both accounts are found.
