As a default, internal attendees are synchronized automaticaly, meaning that they are sent invitations and are informed about changes to the appointment .
The invitation or appointment confirmation for external attendees is sent automatically if the groupware flag (synchronization flag) has been set for them in the attendee list. The participants concerned will then be invited automatically after the appointment has been synchronized with the groupware.
Furthermore, the system uses interlocks and additional security warnings to ensure that users do not inadvertently communicate internal information that has been taken down in the appointment.
Regardless of the notification option via the groupware flag of attendees, the Confirmation to External function is available. It generates an email for all external contacts. For the recipients, the ICS attachment looks like a separate appointment without participants.
