The following information is mainly related to the tool Windward.

Note: Here you will find general information on working with templates. As working with loaders, variables and layouts is a complex topic, there are special workshops for report developers. Usually, users require special training due to the complexity of creating templates.

JustRelate CRM offers a standard report for the current record or for several selected records in all objects. One usually creates these reports individually using the Print function from the toolbar, which opens the report manager.

In addition, further reports can be generated on selected forms using the Reports function in the toolbar, for example External contacts in marketing actions. For sales case management, the CRM offers in the Quo­tes form the Documentation function for product specifications.

Standard reports

In most forms and lists, you can start the Report manager using the Print function.

Standard letter or fax generation

The templates used for creating standardized correspondence documents.

Quotations and product specifications

In the Quotes form via the Documentation ... function or the Report manager.

Text module templates

Templates with fixed and variable text or pictures for generating case-specific product text modules in quotes etc.

The templates required for all reports are delivered with JustRelate CRM.

Attention

Attention: Templates should be managed carefully, as the concept behind them is open. Inexperienced users can quickly make templates unusable by mistake.

There are different ways to use templates:

  • You can use the provided standards without changing the data structure, and merely adapt them so as to match your Corporate Identity. This is the easiest way to use them.
  • You can use the provided standards and insert new fields or modify the data structure in the template. Basic knowledge of the template concept and in dealing with field mappings are necessary.
  • You can create new templates by generating new loader objects with their own data structure. In this case, comprehensive customizer training covering the basics of the CRM data model, XML, and Windward is necessary.
