Server-driven generation from templates

All templates and files are managed as so called BLOBs (Binary Large Objects) in the database. The templates for the automatic (server-driven) generation of emails, correspondences and quote docu­ments are based on XML loader objects of JustRelate CRM and tool-specific templates. As a result, emails, correspondences and documents are created substantially faster and have a uniform layout and functionality.

Users can manage and create templates only with limitations. All document templates are safely stored in the database. All access to the templates is controlled using status functions. This ensures that a template cannot be edited by several persons at the same time, and that the most current template is always used.

All functions needed for creating, managing and editing documents are avail­able in the template management. In addition, there are functions to check out, check in, and delete documents in the database.

The template concept in the CRM supports the automatic generation of documents that are filled in at runtime with user data, e.g., quotations, contact reports, standard letters etc. "Real" document templates such as company-wide layouts for presentations, spreadsheets or standard forms are not considered templates in the above sense. Such files are stored and managed in the document management. If it is necessary to integrate your own templates into the CRM template management, you can copy and adapt the available templates, or create your own template objects in the CRM template management.
