First steps after the installation

Note: The following information is meant to assist the administrator with preparing the system for its use in the company. It is not so much a detailed documentation of all administration possibilities, but rather about some first measures for starting with JustRelate CRM.

The first task is to create staff members and to represent the corporate structure in the CRM contact and user administration. This is mostly carried out manually during ongoing business operations, but can also be accomplished by means of a CSV import or a database loader for extensive data.

Attention

Attention: With CSV imports, it is important to strictly distinguish between internal staff members and external contacts. Internal contacts should not be managed as external contacts.

Using Administration / Contacts / Internal staff and ... / Own company / Internal departments, create the following:

  • Your own company in the company record,
  • your staff members in the person record,
  • the organizational structure (company - department - employees)

Internal staff members and login user

Internal staff members are at the same time CRM users. For this reason, a staff member is not only iden­tified by their name in the CRM contact data administration (Internal staff form, Name field), but also by their login name in the basi system (Internal staff form, Login field). When internal staff contacts are created, their login name, which can later be changed, is generated based on the family name of the person. Immediately after saving, a corre­sponding record is saved in the PiSA cubes user administration (PiSA cubes / User).

Note: If you want to use the client login set (named PISASALES) that is automatically created on first login, make sure when you are creating internal staff records that the login names in the system correspond to the login names saved in the client login sets (this is where Windows saves the current username). A CRM user is automatically also a PiSA cubes user to be able to work with JustRelate CRM.

JustRelate CRM end users and administrators

The CRM distinguishes between end users and administrators (see the Internal staff form, Admin checkbox). Especially in larger units, there can be several JustRelate CRM administrators who, as already mentioned, can set up and adapt the CRM, as well as manage specific areas technically to a limited extent via the PiSA cubes base system, which end users cannot.

Attention

Attention: PiSA cubes allows accessing and changing the data model. For this reason, administrators should only use a fixed set of tools, and work with PiSA cubes only after having acquired sufficient knowledge of the data model in a customizer training.
