Set operations

In the Operations tab, various set operations for ad hoc-lists can be executed (Union, Intersection, Difference etc.). The result is displayed temporarily in this tab, and you can save it in an ad-hoc list. Always all contacts are stored, regardless of the selection. If necessary, you can remove individual contacts from the result.

By means of set operations, complex target group selections can be realized, for example, "determine all customers in postcode area x that had no sales for more than 6 months in a product line."

Proceed step by step, like in the following examples.

Define drill-down

Customers in postcode area x, who had completed orders with products of the product line y so far.
[Path: job #DON # lubrication systems # 40000-90000, compacted to project keyword]
[Result list: project keyword, order date, customer, zip]

Pass result to ad hoc list 1

Select customers, duplicate customer entries are automatically removed.

Restrict drill-down result

Restrict to customers who had contracts with products of the product line y in the last 6 months.
[Quickfinder search by order date: <$ TODAY - 6M]

Pass result to ad hoc list 2

Select customers, duplicate customer entries are automatically removed.

Subtract ad hoc list 2 from 1

Open ad hoc list 1, as quantity operation choose Difference, select ad hoc list 2 as subtrahend.

Save result in ad hoc list 3

Create a new ad-hoc list and drop the result into it.

Explode the result (company)

Explode group to get its staff members.

Filtering by "position"

"Purchasing manager", for example.

Further processing of the selected target group

For example, you can pass the result to a marketing action using "Get from Ad hoc list" in the marketing form.
