Correspondences in multilingual marketing actions

To be able to assign newsletter recipients to emails in different languages, the following features are available in marketing actions:

  • The Attendees tab includes the Communication language field which is also provided in the recipient lists of emails, letters and faxes.
  • When creating and dispatching (Send directly) a serial email with JustRelate CRM, the communication language of the recipient is taken account of, and the series email template version matching this language is automatically selected.
  • This requires that a series email template is present in the CRM template management for each communication language of the serial email concerned. The templates must have the same ID and differ in their language attribute.
  • The Communication language field lets you easily filter contact lists by the communication language of the individual contacts.

Note: By means of the PSA_CPD_RPT_RCV_LNG variable, you can control for which correspondence types (letter, serial letter, fax, serial email) this feature is made available.

Sending a test email

Using the Send test function, you can select a recipient from the system (e.g. yourself), so you can check the serial email in the Groupware. This sends the email only to the selected recipient’s email address, rather than a mass email to all recipients.

Then, change the communication language of the test recipient for each further language, and send the email again to check if it was generated in the correct language.

Creating a mailing from a marketing action

In the Attendees tab, the Add to series emails and Add to letter functions are available. Using the respective function, selected recipients from a marketing campaign can be added to a serial email (email, letter/fax). This is useful to create, for instance, separate language-dependent serial emails.

If the correspondence is a serial email, it is sent from the CRM directly, not from an external email system.
