Using the Web Client as the frontend

Note: Some use cases such as customer surveys or training evaluations can be processed by the questionnaire recipient only in the so-called "portal mode". In such cases, it is required to install the web portal.

Requirements for questionnaire registration

A guest user is required for logging in to the Web Client:

  • A PSC user with set auto-login flag and password is required.
  • The user can be created in the internal staff member administration or as a pure PSC user in the login administration.

There must be one or several templates for generating serial emails with a hyperlink pointing to the questionnaire:

  • An example template is series emails with questionnaire URL.
  • The template must contain the entry emails - series - questionnaire in the For object field.

For generating the hyperlink, the following data is required:

  • PSA_QST_AUT_WEB_LGI_APP = name of the application set to be used for the auto-login, e.g.: Guest. The set must be known to the web server and be created in the admin console of the Web Client.
  • PSA_QST_AUT_WEB_LGI_URL = URL of the Web Client, e.g., "http://bob.pisa.hom:8787/pisaportal/pisa".
  • PSA_QST_AUT_WEB_LGI_USR = global ID of the guest user, e.g., 052601BBDDCA39C8E040A8C00D0107AC. The ID can be determined and copied only from the standard list of PSC_USR.
  • In the standard, all variables are delivered with $NONE as the value.

Customizing

In the Tools/Web autologin administrator list, you can specify your own web login handlers. This is necessary for other scenarios, e.g., for dispatching an email that includes a hyperlink to an FAQ to an external contact with a web login and password query.
