Treatment of administrators

For users with an activated admin flag (it can be set in the "internal staff members" form, or in the user administration of PiSA cubes), the system does not check group access authorization, i.e., also no easy customizing definitions. These "system administrators" are not subject to the profile access and receive full access to the complete user interface of the application.

Contact administrator

Of course, his also means that administrators require corresponding profiles for their tasks. For example, an administrator without the PSA_CON_ADM profile will not be able to create, maintain, or delete internal contacts.

Users without the admin flag set, and who are module administrators only through a profile assignment (e.g., members of the "sales [admin]" profile), are subject to the profile access.

More access profiles

  • Service administrator = PSA_PRO_SVC_ADM (IDC 79)
  • Product administrator = PSA_ART_ADM (IDC 74)
  • Questionnaire administrator = PSA_QST_ADM (IDC 84).
  • Document administrator = PSA_DOC_ADM (IDC 50)
  • Report administrator = PSA_RPT_DEV (IDC 49)

Access group - document administrator, report administrator

Members of the PSA_DOC_ADM = document administrator (IDC=50) group profile can see the document administration in the Administration top menu, and can also change the status of documents, just like JustRelate CRM administrators can. The profile is suitable especially for users who provide documents centrally and release them.

The Template- and Report administrator profile, PSA_RPT_DEV, has the same permissions as the Document administrator.

Note: Now the special product, marketing, sales, service, and contact administrators no longer receive the authorization to administer documents. Only the members of PSA_ADM (group 43) and the group 50 (PSA_DOC_ADM) do.

Release status of templates and documents - template administrator

The environment variable that can be set for the templates so that "not released" templates can also be used for testing, was replaced by the Template administrators and Report administrator profiles. Therefore, no developer license is required.

The system administrator can assign these profiles to all persons who are permitted to develop or test templates. Then these persons have access to the current version of all templates in the corresponding selection dialog, no matter if released or not.

Thus, a template can be tested (Send test) prior to its release, for example. All other non-administrators, however, can edit correspondence templates to a limited extent using the form for Simplified correspondence template management.
