Create a new drill down, or use an available drill-down path with compression on the desired comparison object (e.g., customer, business agent, production line, product, country), and compression on the desired date field (e.g., order on).
Creating a comparison
Definition of the data source in the Drill-Down Center
Transferring the data to the Trend Center
After the drill down was defined, it doesn’t matter whether the Open Trend center function is executed from the "fact table" or "result table" view. The monetary values of the trends are always used.
Configuring the comparison in the Trend Center
In the Filters/Settings tab, you can configure value fields and the period.
- On the right, select a value field (e.g., Case: Turnover) from the pull down menu.
- Below, select the comparison period (1 … 3 years). The filter area to the left is extended accordingly.
- If required, enter values (only numerical ones) in the value and trend fields of the filter area.
- Store the completed configuration under a name as a trend record you can then use again later.
Calling predefined comparisons
Open the Trend Center, and select the desired comparison from the preselection in the title. There is no need to search for anything.
The data for comparisons is collected and calculated at runtime and remains in memory until a new comparison is called up. Changes are only updated again when they are transferred from the drill-down.
Just like filters and drill-down analyses, comparisons can be inserted as a watchlists in the CRM desktop under Favorites as well as in the "Watchlists" cockpit element, and be retrieved from there.
For the "Drill down list" cockpit element, comparison paths can be selected as the data source. Then, the "tilted" table is shown in the element. The company cockpit automatically restricts to the company.
Processing data from comparisons – transfer to an ad-hoc list
Data from the comparison result can be applied, e.g., for target group selections, using the Transfer to ad hoc-list function, or be opened for follow-up processes in the respective form (contacts, cases, products).
Note: When using Transfer to ad hoc-list from the trend center, it needs to be ensured that the drill down on which the trend comparison is based is always compressed on a contact. The system will point this out by means of a corresponding message.
