Version 8.4.0.20261001054500
Desktop integration 8.4.4.200
Web Client Patch 8 (2026-10-01)
JustRelate CRM classic Web Client
New features
- The version info dialog now has a button that copies the core web client version information to the clipboard. It collects the web client version and build time stamp, the RAP platform version, the web server and servlet API, the browser identification and the CK Editor 5 bundle version, so this information can be reported with a single click. (CRM-1602)
- The login set configuration overrides (in the "Force settings" section of the login-set editor) are now tri-state instead of forcing every setting on or off. An admin can leave any individual flag unset so it does not override the user's own configuration, and only the settings actually enabled or disabled in that section are applied when logging in next time. This also covers "Persistent tab items" and "Persistent sash proportions" which are now regular per-user settings that a login set can optionally override, consistent with the other flags in that section. (CRM-1656)
- There are two new settings in the user settings dialog ("More options"): "Persist tab item selection" remembers which tab was open in a dialog, and "Persist sash proportions" remembers the size you gave to a dialog's table compared to its details form, so both come back the way you left them the next time you open that dialog. (CRM-1658)
- Pasting formatted text or an image into a CLOB editor that is currently showing plain text now switches the editor to HTML format automatically if the editor instance allows HTML, instead of flattening the pasted content to plain text. Formatting and images are kept. (CRM-1771)
- A new hideable "AI Assistant" side view joins the existing Desktop and Browser views. This feature is implemented entirely by the application server, so it also requires a matching server version. An older server simply leaves the view unavailable, with no error. (CRM-1796)
Bugfixes
- Clicking the "Open link" button in the CLOB editor's link editing popup for a CRM object link always opened a new browser tab, instead of opening the linked record within the web client the way
Ctrl-clicking the link itself already did. Both now behave the same. (CRM-1591) - Pasting text copied from a Google Doc into the CLOB editor could crash it when the field was set to plain-text format and the copied text included image references. The crash was caused by the image upload adapter. It no longer occurs. (CRM-1592)
- In a CLOB editor that allows both HTML and plain text but defaults to plain text, the text type could no longer be changed for a fresh, empty field. Switching to HTML now works immediately. (CRM-1600)
- The backspace key now works again in dialogs opened from the CLOB editor, such as the "Edit placeholder value" dialog. Previously, once a second CLOB editor was active on the same page, hitting backspace in such a dialog had no effect because it was mistakenly intercepted as a navigation shortcut. (CRM-1634)
- CLOB editor: Editing the value of a placeholder that spans multiple lines no longer collapses its line breaks into a single line. The "Edit placeholder value" dialog now uses a multi-line field that preserves line breaks and is sized to the value's line count. While testing this fix, two related issues in the same dialog were also found and fixed: pressing the escape key now closes it (previously the keystroke never reached the dialog), and inserting a placeholder or refreshing placeholder values while the editor shows resolved values now correctly requests edit permission first, instead of silently doing nothing. (CRM-1688)
- Searching a numeric field in the Quick Finder no longer returns too many records if the field's format includes a unit such as a percent sign. The unit is part of the displayed value (for example "12,50 %"), and the percent sign was passed to the search as a wildcard, which widened the query. Units are now stripped from the search value before it is applied. (CRM-1694)
- Combobox dropdown lists are no longer displayed a few pixels too short, which could clip the last visible row. If there isn't enough space to display a dropdown list in full, it will now open above or below the field, depending on where there is more space available. A further case where a dropdown could still be clipped, occurring only if several browsers with different display scaling were connected to the same server, has also been resolved. (CRM-1717)
- Resizing an image in the CLOB editor caused its new size to be lost after saving. The chosen width was not persisted when the content was stored, so the image reverted to its original size once the record was reopened. The width is now preserved. (CRM-1752)
- Pasting plain text into the CLOB editor could remove blank lines. Depending on how the source text separated paragraphs, multiple consecutive blank lines were collapsed into a single paragraph break, or dropped entirely. All blank lines are now preserved as visible space when pasting plain text. (CRM-1753)
- CLOB editor: A block placeholder with a multi-line HTML value, such as an address, lost all its line breaks and was rendered as a single line. Line breaks in such values are now preserved. (CRM-1754)
- Pasting content containing an image, for example from a Google Doc, into the CLOB editor left the image without a usable reference after saving. It displayed correctly right after pasting but was gone again after a refresh, and could leave a second, unwanted copy of the image in the saved content. Images that are pasted along with other HTML content are now saved and restored correctly. (CRM-1774)
- In Firefox, clicking a button that opens a popup menu, such as in the pinboard, while a CLOB editor still had unsaved changes could make the popup act on the field's previous content instead of the current one. The field's current content now always reaches the server before such a click is processed, regardless of the browser. (CRM-1779)
- The web client's HTML viewer now supports programmatic scrolling to the end or back to the top of its content, for use by server-driven forms. (CRM-1805)
- Resizing the sash next to the "Desktop" view, or the one above the "Messages" view, was not remembered for the next login. The current size was captured too late, after it had already been sent to the server on logout. It is now captured in time. (CRM-1807)
- Newly inserted content in the CLOB editor, such as a placeholder value, an image, or a signature, could end up outside the visible area if the editor was scrolled elsewhere at the time. The editor now scrolls as needed to keep newly inserted content in view. (CRM-1808)
An internal locking mechanism used to select the JavaScript bundle could contend with another web client instance deployed in the same Java process, causing occasional unnecessary delays. This lock is now private to each instance. (no ticket)
